Gabino Sanchez has extensive experience in science with >30 publications in diverse fields ranging from genomics, bioinformatics, microbiology and plant breeding. After his PhD in Biochemistry in Spain, he specialized in plant bioinformatics during his postdocs in Halifax, Canada and the Netherlands. Since 2012, Gabino acted as head of the department of Applied Bioinformatics from Wageningen University (the Netherlands) & Research, where he hosted a state-of-the-art sequencing facility and led a large number ofnumerous collaborative projects with plant breeding industry. In 2017, he became CEO of Genetwister Technologies, a biotechnology company that makes new technology available to the R&D pipelines for five major global seed companies. Since 2020, he is embracing a new challenge as Business Development director at Hudson River Biotechnology.
