Computomics is Excited to Become a Member of the Cyber Valley Start-up Network.

Cyber Valley is Europe’s largest research consortium in the field of artificial intelligence, with partners from science and industry. The state of Baden-Württemberg, the Max Planck Society with the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, the Universities of Stuttgart and Tübingen, as well as Amazon, BMW AG, Daimler AG, IAV GmbH, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Robert Bosch GmbH, and ZF Friedrichshafen AG are the founding partners of this initiative. Moreover, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft has joined Cyber Valley as an associated partner. Cyber Valley also receives support from the Christian Bürkert Foundation, the Gips-Schüle Foundation, the Vector Foundation, and the Carl Zeiss Foundation.

With the Start-up Network, Cyber Valley is building and fostering a community of entrepreneurs. As members of the network, start-ups are invited to attend newly created Cyber Valley networking events such as talks, meet-ups, and tech brunches on a regular basis. They are listed on the Cyber Valley website and can use the network’s logo in their communication materials. Network members are required to have a connection to Cyber Valley, for instance by being headquartered in the Stuttgart-Tübingen region, or by having members or alumni of Cyber Valley partner institutions among their founders. Their activities must be related to the field of intelligent systems. Membership in the Cyber Valley Start-up Network is reviewed once a year to ensure that these requirements continue to be met.

Computomics has developed machine learning-based algorithms that combine different sources of information to predict crop performance. As this is a very unique technology we want to increase the exchange between science and our application. With our membership, we foster this exchange with the great scientific minds gathered in CyberValley, both within other companies and in academic research institutions. Furthermore, we also want to give back our experience of conceiving and founding a successful startup.
