Computomics is presenting at the next GPZ Meeting of the ornamental plant breeding group

Meet Computomics at the GPZ Meeting of the Ornamental Plants Group on 9-10 September 2021 in Hannoversch Münden, Germany!

The Society for Plant Breeding e.V. (GPZ) is the scientific association for the improvement of plants by breeding and research. Currently, GPZ has more than 800 full members and several supporting members. On September 9-10, 2021, GPZ is inviting members to the next meeting of the ornamental plants group. The main topic is the discussion of new phenotyping methods for ornamental plant breeding.

Dr. Oliver Deusch, Scientific Product Manager at Computomics will give a talk on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Oliver will present the results of a project funded by the Ministry of Economy of Baden-Württemberg which analyzed how a plant shelf life can be evaluated by using AI methods. In this project, we took more than 3600 images of Calibrachoa and performed plant scoring to use for image recognition and genotype-phenotype associations. You will learn how to integrate our automated camera system for phenotyping and the benefits of machine learning for genotype-phenotype associations.
